On Wednesday, Fivay blew past Plant City, posting a 45-15 win on the road.
Among those leading the charge was Malia Shuler, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Melany Garcia, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten steals.
Fivay's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Plant City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Fivay will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Eastside at 2:10 p.m. on December 29th. Eastside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Fivay likes a good challenge. Plant City and Alonso will round out the year against one another at 3:25 p.m. on Friday at. Alonso comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
