The Salmen Spartans will be playing at home against the Hahnville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Salmen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Salmen was the victim of a tough 68-47 loss at the hands of Northshore. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Salmen in their matchups with Northshore: they've now lost four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Treasure Mccall, who scored 13 points. She scored a full 27.7% of Salmen's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Thomas, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Hahnville entered their tilt with Newman with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hahnville took down Newman 46-28 on Tuesday.
Salmen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hahnville, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 5-2 record.
Things could have been worse for Salmen, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-39 loss to Hahnville in their previous meeting back in November of 2022.
