1A District 4 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Blountstown was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 1A District 4. Earlier in the week, the Tigers defeated Port St. Joe 13-6.
Liberty County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Franklin County.
The Seahawks' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dwayne Griggs threw for 47 yards and Stefan Devaughn had 38 yards receiving. On the ground Griggs chipped in 14 yards. Skyler Hutchinson helped Franklin County's passing attack out by catching two balls for nine yards.
Blountstown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hunter Jordan has thrown for 132 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Josh Taylor has three catches for 100 yards. Jordan also leads the league in rushing with 280 yards.
