The Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Northern York Polar Bears at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Greencastle-Antrim will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Greencastle-Antrim barely beat Waynesboro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Kiersten Swain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caroline Logsdon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zhen Reuter, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Greencastle-Antrim was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Northern York came up short against Big Spring on Thursday and fell 13-8. The loss was the Polar Bears' first of the season.
Hannah Keith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Makenzie Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
Greencastle-Antrim pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 10.2 runs thus far. As for Northern York, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Greencastle-Antrim hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Northern York struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Greencastle-Antrim came up short against Northern York when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 9-5. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
