The L.E.A.D. Academy Lions lost against the Laurel Hill Hoboes back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. L.E.A.D. Academy was dealt a 79-42 defeat at the hands of Laurel Hill. L.E.A.D. Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
L.E.A.D. Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Donovan Dean, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Dean has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Holcomb , who scored nine points.
L.E.A.D. Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Laurel Hill, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
L.E.A.D. Academy will be playing at home against Rocky Bayou Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rocky Bayou Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Saturday. As for Laurel Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
