The Niceville Eagles entered their tilt with the Pace Patriots with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Niceville came out on top against Pace by a score of 42-33 on Thursday. For Niceville, this counts as revenge for the 55-50 defeat Pace walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Niceville was led to victory by Anna Kimball and Carson Fayard. Kimball dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Fayard dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Fayard has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Kiyah Hatcher was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds.
Niceville is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Pace, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niceville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chiles at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Chiles is on a three-game streak of home wins, Niceville a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Pace, they will head out on the road to take on Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
