Mt. Hope had won four straight road games  and  Robert Annis did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Huskies were the clear victors by  a  35-14 margin over the North Providence Cougars thanks in part to  Annis, who rushed for 180 yards and five  touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
The team also got some help courtesy of  Nick Rogers, who gained 145 total yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended four passes.

 Mt. Hope didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Jonathan Sylvia,  Brody Cavalieri,  and  Annis picked up one apiece. Cavalieri has been hot for a while, having also posted seven or more  total tackles the last 14 times he's  played.
Mt. Hope's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for North Providence,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 4-3 record.
 Mt. Hope and North Providence will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  games. The next time the Huskies see the field they'll take on Barrington  at 6:15  p.m.  on  the 26th. As for North Providence, their break will end when they face Smithfield  at 10:00  a.m.  on  the 27th.
