The Greenville Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Cleveland Central 67-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greenville in their matchups with Cleveland Central: they've now lost eight in a row.
Gymanuel Wells and Tamarion Rhodes certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Wells scored 17 points along with two steals, while Rhodes scored ten points. Wells continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Greenville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Cleveland Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Greenville will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gentry at 7:30 p.m. Gentry is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Cleveland Central, they will head out on the road to take on Canton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
