Pagosa Springs has gone 8-1 against Ignacio recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Pirates will welcome the Bobcats  at 6:00  p.m. Pagosa Springs has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the  contest with seven straight  defeats, while Ignacio will come in with three straight  wins.
Pagosa Springs lost  3-0 to Durango last Tuesday.
 While Pagosa Springs had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21,  25-19.
 Pagosa Springs'  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Tatiana Monterroso, who  had 12  digs, and  Charity Domingo, who  had ten  digs.  Amber Snarr also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  blocks of the season.
Meanwhile, Ignacio made easy work of Nucla  on Saturday and carried off  a  3-0 victory.
 Ignacio never let Nucla on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17,  25-22.
 Ignacio's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Pagosa Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Thursday's  matchup:  Pagosa Springs has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 4.9  aces per game. However, it's not like Ignacio struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8.9  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Everything went Pagosa Springs' way against Ignacio in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as Pagosa Springs made off with  a  3-0 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success,  or do  the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
