The Oakland Mills Scorpions will head out on the road to face off against the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oakland Mills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Oakland Mills scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Reservoir as Oakland Mills made off with a 57-37 victory.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal is ranked highly in their home state, and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mercersburg Academy. St. Andrew's Episcopal was the clear victor by a 56-36 margin over Mercersburg Academy. That looming 56-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for St. Andrew's Episcopal yet this season.
St. Andrew's Episcopal can attribute much of their success to Sophia Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Lamaria Estridge, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Estridge is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Strause, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Oakland Mills now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
