Strawberry Crest has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Strawberry Crest Chargers and the Bloomingdale Bulls will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Strawberry Crest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 700th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 257th).
Strawberry Crest suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Wednesday. Their rough 53-32 defeat to Wharton might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Strawberry Crest has suffered against Wharton since December 13, 2019.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Maximus von Ancken, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Bryon "Tra" Jones, who scored five points.
Even though Bloomingdale has not done well against Newsome recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Bloomingdale came out on top against Newsome by a score of 56-47. The win was a breath of fresh air for Bloomingdale as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Strawberry Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bloomingdale, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Strawberry Crest strolled past Bloomingdale in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a score of 53-38. Will Strawberry Crest repeat their success, or does Bloomingdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
