Camden Central will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Lewis County in at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Camden Central, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Camden Central had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 8-43 loss at the hands of Waverly Central. Camden Central were down by 8-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Lewis County had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They steamrollered Scotts Hill 35-0. Lewis County was heavily favored coming into this game, and the results showcase why.
Lewis County's lifted them to 1-0 while Camden Central's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Lewis County can add another positive mark to their record or if Camden Central can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Lewis County's step.
