Paige Murray made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jordyn McBride was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Lake Park typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Glenbard North proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Lancers 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Avery Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tru Medina, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
St. Charles North's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Glenbard North, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
