Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family has not had much luck with Oakland-Craig recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abilyn Schneider, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schneider has scored all season. Claire Korth was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Oakland-Craig got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adi Rennerfeldt out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Sonya Guzinski, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Oakland-Craig, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will challenge Elgin/Pope John at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elgin/Pope John will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Oakland-Craig will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Archbishop Bergan at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th.
