Foothill has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Red Bluff Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Foothill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Tuesday, Foothill didn't have too much trouble with Chico at home as they won 68-53.
Foothill relied on the efforts of Tyler Zanhiser, who scored 23 points along with three steals, and Asa Arnold, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Zanhiser is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Van Warren, who scored seven points.
Red Bluff lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 52-32 loss at the hands of Enterprise. While losing is never fun, Red Bluff can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 784th, while Enterprise is ranked 285th).
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Red Bluff, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-17.
Foothill strolled past Red Bluff when the teams last played back in January by a score of 69-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
