On Thursday, Promise Prepatory Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to White Creek Christian Academy.
Meanwhile, even though War Hill Christian Academy scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, Old Suwanee Christian still came out on top. Old Suwanee Christian strolled past War Hill Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 80-61. The win made it back-to-back wins for Old Suwanee Christian.
Old Suwanee Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jon Rojas, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds, and Amari Chatman, who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Rojas has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Courtney, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Promise Prepatory Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Old Suwanee Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8.
Things could have been worse for Promise Prepatory Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-38 loss to Old Suwanee Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023.
