The Savannah Country Day Hornets lost against the Beach Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Savannah Country Day took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beach. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Savannah Country Day has scored all season.
Savannah Country Day's loss came despite strong showings from Robert Spaulding iv and Andrew Nicholson. Spaulding iv scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Nicholson scored six points along with seven rebounds. Spaulding iv has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.
James Tisby continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Beach, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tisby has scored all season. Brandon Castelow was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Savannah Country Day and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Beach, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Savannah Country Day will head out on the road to take on Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Savannah Country Day in Georgia (Liberty County is ranked 136th, while Savannah Country Day is ranked 290th). As for Beach, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Savannah Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
