North Central is 8-2 against Hilltop since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cadets at 4:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with North Central sitting on four straight wins and Hilltop on three.

Easton Fidler made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fidler was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
Fidler wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Briggs Fiser, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Hilltop came out on top against Edon on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Cadets walked away with an 8-5 win over the Bombers.
Like North Central, Hilltop also got a great game from a two-way player: Brennan Dempsey. He pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Dempsey has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Toby Hartman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Alejandro Rubalcava was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Hilltop's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for North Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. North Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hilltop struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
North Central couldn't quite get it done against Hilltop when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 9-5. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
