West Platte is 7-0 against the Tigers since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The West Platte Bluejays will head out on the road to face off against the DeKalb Tigers at 8:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Platte has three straight victories, the Tigers have 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though West Platte has not done well against the Cardinals recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. West Platte blew past the Cardinals 56-36.
DeKalb might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 75-27 to the Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
West Platte has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for DeKalb, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
Everything came up roses for West Platte against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 78-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Platte since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
