Hampton is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while Bethel is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hampton Crabbers will take on the Bethel Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hampton is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Virginia (they are ranked 23rd, while Bethel is ranked 180th).
Hampton stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Gloucester 86-38 at home.
Hampton had a senior duo take command as Daron Baugh scored 19 points and Malik Johnson scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abraham Taft, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Bethel came up short against Denbigh on Thursday and fell 54-43.
Hampton's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Bethel, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Hampton strolled past Bethel in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 63-46. Does Hampton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bethel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
