The Dudley Panthers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Crest Chargers. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over the Chargers. The victory was just business as usual for Dudley, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Andrew Attmore II, who threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was LJ Southern, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Crest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aiden Carson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Javarius Green, who picked up 159 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dudley has yet to lose a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.18 points. As for Crest, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-1.
Dudley will head out on the road to face off against Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hickory is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
