Flinthills scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. The contest between them and the Classical Saints didn't end well, with the Flinthills Mustangs falling 73-59. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevi Wilkey, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 18 points and four steals. Wilkey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Addison Yost was another key player, going 6 of 11 on her way to 17 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Flinthills and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Classical, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flinthills will welcome Bluestem on Monday. Bluestem's defense has only allowed 23.1 points per game this season, so Flinthills' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Classical, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Marion at 6:00 p.m. Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
