Even though the Perry Bluejays have not done well against the Boone Toreadors recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Perry enjoyed a cozy 55-40 win over Boone. For Perry, this counts as revenge for the 66-47 defeat Boone walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Perry's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Geren Kenney, who scored 16 points. Drake Levan was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Perry's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Boone, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Perry will head out on the road to face off against Ogden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boone, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Winterset at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
