The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 58-24 loss at the hands of Orleans. Eastern Greene was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orleans to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Jones, who scored 14 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Crocker, who scored 11 points along with five assists.
Eastern Greene bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Orleans, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Greene will take on Clay City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orleans and Crawford County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Crawford County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
