Our Lady of the Lake Catholic hasn't had much luck against Michigan Lutheran recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 4:15 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Eau Claire 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Bradyn Harper made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is undefeated (and 5-12 when he doesn't). Harper was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic got a massive performance out of Dylan Sargent, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Sargent has posted since back in March. Evan Watts was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Michigan Lutheran made easy work of River Valley on Friday and carried off a 16-1 victory.
Like Our Lady of the Lake Catholic, Michigan Lutheran also got a great game from a two-way player: Khannor Hamilton. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hamilton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Colton Stegman, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
The win made it two in a row for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic and bumps their season record up to 8-12. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Michigan Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Michigan Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
