T.R. Miller and Sweet Water played the most hotly contested game in 3A Region 1 this week, with T.R. Miller eventually emerging with a 28-27 victory.
W.S. Neal took down Millry 66-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Excel's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. James Hudson has thrown for 575 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Joe Crutchfield has 13 catches for 268 yards. Dekota Welker leads the league in rushing with 814 yards.
The Tigers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,132 from 2,684. The advance stemmed from a 28-27 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
