Matt Kramer and Christian Schramm provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fort Recovery. The connection went for 84 yards, the longest such play in Midwest Athletic this season.
Coldwater extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Indians, 55-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Coldwater's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kramer threw for 104 and one touchdown and Schramm had 95 yards receiving. On the ground Austin Bruns chipped in 46 yards. Kyle Post helped Coldwater's passing attack out by catching two balls for 51 yards.
Coldwater's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bruns has thrown for 1903 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Josh Huber has 31 catches for 498 yards. Bruns also leads the league in rushing with 469 yards.
Going into this week's game against Miami East, Chip Otten's team's Bruns needs 97 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
St. Henry and Versailles played the most hotly contested game in Midwest Athletic this week, with St. Henry eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory.
