Centennial entered their tilt with Burleson on Tuesday with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. They blew past the Elks 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 11 games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Brooke Mayner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3.
