It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Palmetto Panthers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They strolled past Doral Academy with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win was familiar territory for Palmetto who now have six in a row.
Palmetto pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.9 points per game. As for Doral Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Palmetto will look to defend their home field on November 17th against Western at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Western's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Doral Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
