Two dominant backs in Joe Pron and Da'Kari Releford Jr are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Regis Jesuit Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Fountain-Fort Carson will be up against a hot Regis Jesuit squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Raiders claimed a resounding 41-9 win over Chaparral. With the Raiders ahead 41-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Luke Rubley was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards. His passing game has become a key predictor of Regis Jesuit's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. Another big playmaker for the Raiders was Logan Singer, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Regis Jesuit didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Chaparral to a completion percentage of just 31.2%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Singer, Eli Lund, and Will Anzures, who each logged one passes deflected. Regis Jesuit wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 62.5%.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Regis Jesuit, adding 17 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Singer, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fountain-Fort Carson). They really took it to Douglas County for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-9 victory. The Trojans pushed the score to 42-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the Huskies had no chance of recovering from.
Regis Jesuit better keep an eye on Jaylen Martin. He was instrumental in Fountain-Fort Carson's win, rushing for 64 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 111 yards and one TD.
Fountain-Fort Carson's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Regis Jesuit, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Regis Jesuit against Fountain-Fort Carson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 45-7 win. In that game, the Raiders amassed a halftime lead of 31-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
