Video: Zion Williamson with amazing dunk
The 5-star wing from Spartanburg Day (S.C.) goes to off-hand to emphatically deliver two of his 38 points.
The response, though alarming, was perfectly appropriate.
There were spontaneous, authentic screams, like during a horror flick in a movie theater.
Instead, this was in a high school basketball gymnasium.
Spartanburg Day (Spartanburg, S.C.) 6-foot-8 junior
Zion Williamson, the nation's No. 2 basketball recruit from the Class of 2018, went baseline, elevated and threw down a right-hand dunk over a very good, high-flying defender in his own right.
Keep in mind, Williamson, who dropped 38 points in this game against Asheville Christian Academy and averages 35 on the year, is left-handed.
But we doubt that's what caused at least a couple of girls near the camera to simply shriek and scream. Nor his ill-advised green sneakers.
The elevation and dunk was shocking, if not sensational.
Williamson also averages 11.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game.
