The Roy Royals can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Clearfield by a score of 65-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Roy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
It was another big night for Bronson Belnap, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Colby Frokjer was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
The win got Roy back to even at 10-10. As for Clearfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
Roy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Roy is ranked 70th, while Woods Cross is ranked 85th). As for Clearfield, they will head out on the road to take on Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bountiful will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Clearfield surely won't give up without a fight.
