The Wright City Wildcats lost against the Van-Far Indians back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Wright City took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Van-Far. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wright City in their matchups with Van-Far: they've now lost four in a row.
Van-Far's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Jennings, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikos Connaway, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Van-Far, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will take on Wellsville-Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wright City is facing Wellsville-Middletown at the right time seeing as Wellsville-Middletown is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Van-Far, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
