Tanner Akers of Westfield Area ran for the longest rushing play in South Central this season against Adams-Friendship last week. Akers ran for 68 yards on the play and finished with 191 on the day as his team bested the Green Devils.
Wisconsin Dells took down Mauston 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Westfield Area's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Slowey threw for 45 and one touchdown and Josh Hart had 23 yards receiving. Brandon Rasmussen helped Westfield Area's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Westfield Area's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Slowey has thrown for 737 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Tyler Janke has 14 catches for 310 yards. Brad Floeter leads the league in rushing with 760 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wautoma/Faith Christian takes on the Chiefs. At the moment, the Hornets are in fourth, while Wisconsin Dells is in first.
Mike Marr's team led South Central in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Adams-Friendship. Akers in the win.
