Elizabeth came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Pueblo East Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabeth will challenge Mitchell at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pueblo East, they will face off against Pueblo Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
