Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hughes). They blew past the Woodward Bulldogs, posting a 59-12 victory. The BIG RED haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Hughes' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Woodward, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hughes will welcome Withrow at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the BIG RED's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodward, they will host Western Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
