The Apple Springs Eagles pushed their score all the way to 48 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinidad. It was the first time this season that Apple Springs let down their fans at home.
Trinidad was led to victory by Kacey Womack and Colby Brown. Womack rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Brown rushed for 225 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
Apple Springs has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Trinidad, their win was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 5-5.
