The Kingstree Blazers's game on Friday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burke. Kingstree was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Burke apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
Despite the loss, Kingstree still got an impressive performance from Adarius Hilton, who scored 17 points. Hilton set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Micheal Kelly, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Kingstree's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Burke, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Kingstree will be home for the holidays to greet Crestwood at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Crestwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. Burke won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Christ Church Episcopal at 2:30 p.m. on December 23rd.
