In what's become a running theme this season, the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Colton-Pierrepont 65-40. Winning may never get old, but Tupper Lake sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Tupper Lake was led to victory by Garrett Pelkey and Thomas Peterson. Pelkey dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Peterson scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Peterson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler LaPlante, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Colton-Pierrepont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eric Friedel. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Smith, who scored four points.
Tupper Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Colton-Pierrepont, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12.
Tupper Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Colton-Pierrepont also has no future games currently scheduled.
