For the first time this season, Providence Academy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Monday. They will welcome the West Fork Tigers at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
Providence Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Life Way Christian with a sharp 10-0 win. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Camden Griggs was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Abby Roy was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Shiloh Smith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Providence Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, West Fork won against Green Forest on Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. West Fork blew past Berryville 11-0. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Clara Harderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Harderson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Leah Swinson was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1. Kinley Smith was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
The win (which was West Fork's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Providence Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
West Fork's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Providence Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .404. It's a different story for West Fork, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Providence Academy's hitters?
Providence Academy took their win against West Fork in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 16-1. Will Providence Academy repeat their success, or does West Fork have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
