The Burroughs Bears suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 68-42 loss at the hands of Pasadena. Burroughs has struggled against Pasadena recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Burroughs' loss came despite strong showings from Elijah Orjuela and Chase Kardosh. Orjuela scored nine points along with two steals, while Kardosh scored 12 points. That's the first time this season that Orjuela grabbed two or more steals. Landon Everhart was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Pasadena, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Burroughs will head out on the road to face off against Crescenta Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasadena won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Glendale has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 392 points over their last six games.
