Basketball Recap: Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy Takes a Loss

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy lost against Neumann Regional Academy back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack fell just short of the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights by a score of 76-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (63), the WolfPack still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy still got an impressive performance from Jayden Stamm, who went 9 of 20 en route to 25 points and three steals. Stamm's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Bowen, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points.

Even though they lost, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Neumann Regional Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daiton Thompson, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Walter, who scored 16 points.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-52 victory against Newport on the 30th. Neumann Regional Academy has also already played their next game (against Muncy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
