T.L. Hanna and the Wildcats are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Woodmont Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. T.L. Hanna knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully the Wildcats like a good challenge.
T.L. Hanna pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of J.L. Mann by a score of 65-63. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as T.L. Hanna came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Patriots are ranked 87th).
Meanwhile, Woodmont came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Hillcrest with a 60-54 win on Tuesday.
T.L. Hanna's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6. As for Woodmont, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-9.
T.L. Hanna beat the Wildcats 56-45 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for T.L. Hanna since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
