Pine Forest lost against Florida State University High School back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pine Forest Eagles had to suffer through a 88-55 loss at the hands of the Florida State University High School Seminoles. Even though they lost, the Eagles' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why Pine Forest lost, don't look at Micah Franklin. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Marion Jordan, who put up six points and six boards.

It was another big night for Trey Card, who went 11 of 20 on his way to 27 points along with six assists and four steals for Florida State University High School. That's the most steals Card has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amare Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten assists.

Pine Forest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Florida State University High School, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Pine Forest will square off against Arnold at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pine Forest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season. As for Florida State University High School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Suwannee at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Florida State University High School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Suwannee likes a good challenge.
