Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sherwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Hope/Halfway only rushed for 37.
Sherwood's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. Brody Kimbrough led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Despite the loss, Pleasant Hope/Halfway still got an impressive performance from Caleb Altic, who picked up 73 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Sherwood will look to defend their home field on Friday against Stockton/Sheldon at 6:55 p.m. Stockton/Sheldon will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sherwood surely won't give up without a fight.
