North Eugene came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Springfield Millers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 15-0 win on Friday.
Anabel Acosta was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
