Even though the ABF Academy Cowboys scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, the Elite Academy Eagles still came out on top. Elite Academy secured a 68-64 W over ABF Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elite Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elite Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ladainian Brooks, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Kyler Theophile was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Elite Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for ABF Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.
Elite Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Braddock at 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in Braddock's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for ABF Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Calusa Prep at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
