The Santee Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Banning Pilots at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
For the first time since back in January, Santee was forced to settle for a draw last Wednesday. Neither they nor West Adams could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.
Santee avoided a loss thanks to
Daniel Osorto Flores and
Oscar Cruz, who posted all three of Santee's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 12 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Banning has not lost a match since January 12th, a trend which continued in their latest game last Friday. They never let Narbonne onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Even though Banning was hit with a red card (from Juan Pablo Hernandez), the team's aggressive strategy still got them the 'W'.
With that draw, Santee's record moves to 10-5-2. As for Banning, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-3 record this season.
Santee suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Banning in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Santee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
