Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, Victory Christian Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville found their leader in underclassman Alex Hicks, who rushed for 103 yards on only 12 carries. Carson Magyar made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Victory Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Fort Meade and 8-2 Zephyrhills Christian Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65% over those games). As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. Episcopal School of Jacksonville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on November 10th. One thing working in Riverside's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches.
