Scappoose put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by  a  13-6 margin over the Marist Spartans. Considering the Indians have won seven matches by more than six  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Sophia Bloyd and  Saige Casey did most of the damage at the plate:  Bloyd  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI, while  Casey  scored three  runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ashlynn Komp, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Scappoose  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  every time they've taken the field this season.
Scappoose pushed their record up to 8-0 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Marist,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-2.
 Coming up, Scappoose will welcome Seaside  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Marist, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Stayton  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
